National Australia Bank hit by another technical glitch

SYDNEY, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- National Australia Bank (NAB) onceagain been hit by technical glitches on Monday, with its onlinebanking services delayed for most of the working day.

Customers attempting to login to NAB's internet banking on Mondaywere unable to do so, with the site carrying a message that it wasexperiencing high traffic levels.

The site was later telling customers internet banking wasunavailable due to "technical difficulties".

NAB's internet banking was restored late in the afternoon.

Many customers used social networking site Twitter to vent theirfrustration with the bank, which offered its apologies through itsofficial Twitter profile.

"Internet Banking is up-and-running but some customers may findit slower than normal, given the high number of people logging-inright now," the bank said on Monday afternoon.

The online problems follow a much larger glitch in November,which caused delays in the processing of some customer payments andtransactions, plus delays for the electronic banking facilities.
