VIC:Huge crowds for Melbourne celebrations
A humid Melbourne night has brought out huge crowds to celebrate New Year's Eve in the city.
It's estimated that up to 600 thousand people have descended on the CBD to enjoy free
entertainment and the fireworks displays.
Melbourne will ring in 2012 with a 2.6 million dollar celebration which will bathe
the city's iconic buildings in golden fireworks.
Free transport will run from 6pm until 5am.
