Vic: Grocon to manage fire clean up

BENDIGO, Vic, Feb 27 AAP - Developer Grocon will manage the clean-up of homes and businesses
destroyed in the Victorian bushfires.

More than 80,000 tonnes of debris is expected to be cleared from fire areas across
the state in an operation set to take up to six months.

Victorian Premier John Brumby and Federal Minister for Families and Housing Jenny Macklin
announced the Grocon contract in the central Victorian city of Bendigo, on Friday.

Properties in Bendigo will be the first to be cleared while others, including Marysville,
